Project Manager Job Description
***This role is on site in either Huntsville or Birmingham, AL area***
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of grading and paving projects in the North Alabama area. Ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule. They will also be responsible for coordinating resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, and working collaboratively with a team of superintendents and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and the ability to lead a team to success.
Responsibilities:
Manage grading or paving projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment Work with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project specifications are met Ensure that all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and submittals Communicate regularly with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure that everyone is informed and engaged in the project Supervise and lead project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure successful project completion Ensure that project goals and objectives are clearly defined and communicated to all stakeholders Manage project budgets and financial performance, identifying potential cost savings and revenue opportunities Project Manager Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil, paving, and underground project management Strong knowledge of grading and paving equipment, materials, and techniques Proven experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to success Experience in highway work preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office, HCSS and project management software Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction grading projects Benefits:
