Full job description Position Summary: Tech Parks Arizona (Campus Research Corporation) is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team reporting directly to the Vice President of Construction, Facilities and Planning. The successful candidate will have experience in working on a campus environment within a facilities management team and will display skills in commercial construction management and facilities maintenance.
Note: This position will be based at the University of Arizona Tech Park at Rita Road and I-10, but will require travel between multiple Tech Park sites, including Oro Valley, Arizona and The Bridges (In Tucson at 36th St. and Kino Blvd). Use of a personal vehicle will be required along with a valid state driver license and proper vehicle insurance. This is a full-time exempt position with amazing benefits. Employee is covered at 100% for Health, Dental, Vision, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance two times your salary up to $150,000.00 and dependents are covered at 70% for Health, Dental, and Vision. 10 paid holidays per year, vacation and sick time offered. Accrual rates based on years of service.
Duties and Responsibilities: · Clear writing of scope of work and specifications for small tenant improvements.
· Coordinate bid requests and bid proposals from qualified general and subcontractors.
· Have local knowledge and experience with contractors and subcontractors.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Suretrak for scheduling of projects with customers.
· Direct contractors on site regarding site rules, regulations, and inspections.
· Coordinate and meet with outside consultants and technical staff to develop project drawings.
· Read and comment on construction drawings, including Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
· Ensure all project drawings are submitted to local AHJ and all comments are addressed prior to notice to proceed.
· Provide detailed and accurate project estimates.
· Document and report project inspection deficiencies (code and safety) which require corrective action and follow up by contractors or sub-contractors.
· Communication with Customers throughout the project to ensure quality service and products are being delivered in a timely fashion.
· Provide direction to FM team regarding general maintenance items and special projects.
· Adheres to all applicable building and safety codes.
· Communicate and report directly with senior management.
Knowledge and Skills: Ten years of experience in construction or related trades and maintenance industry, or a Bachelors degree in a related field and four years' experience in the construction industry; OR, an Associates degree in a related field and six years' experience in the construction and or trades and maintenance industry.
*Additional minimum qualifications: · Valid Arizona Driver's License.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project (or other construction project management scheduling software).
· Excellent communication skills
· Team player
· Construction Cost Estimating experience.
· Project Management experience (Please provide two year list of projects with references).
· Commercial construction experience working on campus environment/ institutional setting.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
