Project Manager – Data Centers | Roanoke, Virginia Direct hire | Onsite Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Project Manager for a direct hire position for their client in Roanoke, VA.
The individual in this position will be the lead point of contact for data center customer accounts. This position will also be responsible for the coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of assigned in-house projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
Core Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for assisting in preparing bid estimates and customer proposals as required.
Keep assigned projects on schedule and within budget.
Communicate all relevant information to team members, such as change of schedule, change of product requirements, etc.
Support customer visits at the manufacturing plant and field as required.
Oversee overall project scope of work requirements and provide updated proposals and project schedules as required due to customer change requests.
Become the resident expert on data center market customers, products, and expectations.
Primary point of contact for all data center established customer accounts.
Responsible for keeping current data center customers satisfied by delivering exceptional customer service.
Build and maintain strong, long, lasting, customer relationships.
Manage new customer orders and release internal sales orders in a timely manner.
Keep assigned projects on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate all "pre-construction" activities to ensure on-time product completion.
Oversee the schedule of events to be completed and communicate these goals to all team members.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree
3-5 years of project management experience in the data center market
Knowledge of data center building construction, customers, and design.
Knowledge of construction and/or power distribution required.
Must have effective problem-solving skills.
