What You'll Do in This Position
Responsible for the execution of either remediation, construction, or decommissioning projects. Provides senior level management direction in establishing management planning, engineering, and budget for the procurement, construction, and turnover, of new projects or the decommissioning, disassembly, and disposal of assigned facilities, or remediation of SRS operation areas. Responsible for project baselines and milestones and insuring project efforts are conducted in accordance the federal, state, and local regulations and requirements. Represent the project and the company in presentations and meetings. Responsible for the preparation and approval of project plans, project management plans, project baselines, and letters of instruction. Represents the project for safety, environmental, and quality assurance audits. Creates and evaluates alternatives and develops responses and initiates corrective action. Identifies design and engineering problems, develops or evaluates solutions, evaluates their effect upon the project baseline and initiates appropriate action. Coordinate project efforts to ensure project progress is within schedule, cost, technical, environmental, and legal baselines. Secure project permits, work package inputs, and either start up or decommission authorization. Draft clear documentation and presentations to support DOE-SR in obtaining project funding and approvals from DOE-HQ and various federal agencies.
Represents the project and company in presentations and meetings to internal and external customers regarding project validation, implementation, and status. Monitors progress during the program procurement/construction or disposal/disassembly phases to identify and correct adverse trends affecting cost, scope, or scheduled completion. Manage multi divisional project teams to include company subcontractors during the duration of the project.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require
Bachelor degree in an engineering, construction management or technical discipline
Other Qualifications
Knowledgeable of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) including cost and schedule management, variance analysis and baseline development. Strategic planning skills required.
Qualifications We Desire
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or sciences preferred. Experience in regulatory, project, planning or directly related technical field is desirable. Management, lead or supervisory experience preferred
