Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 - Onsite Language Requirements: Write, read, and speak English fluently Language Preference: N/A Job Overview: The Primary Care Physician will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of veterans by providing them with high-quality healthcare services in the Primary Care team setting which include both outpatient scheduled and unscheduled Veterans. You'll be e responsible for clinic appointments and follow-up of labs/imaging/procedures ordered during these appointments, interpretation, phone call consultation from hospitalists and intensivists on inpatients, and availability for case review with nurse practitioners on service – all this will provide the chance to utilize and further develop your clinical skills in a fast-paced environment. With an estimated 95% of your time spent in direct patient care, you'll gain valuable experience and expertise in managing a diverse range of patient cases. The position requires candidates who are technically proficient and committed to upholding the highest standards of care. Experience Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience within the last five years

Providing Family Practice and interventional Family Practice consultative services for assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to veterans in the Primary Care team setting; outpatient include both scheduled and unscheduled Veterans. Clinic appointments and their follow-up and interpretation of labs/imaging/procedures ordered during these appointments
Ordering and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate Recommending treatment and/or referral accordingly. Record/document health appraisal information, clinical assessments, treatment decision, plan of care, ongoing management and therapeutic outcomes, ordering/prescribing medications, and diagnostic test and referral consultations. Handling phone call consultations from hospitalists and intensivists on inpatients Experience in case review with nurse practitioners on service Experience Preferences: N/A Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 35+ lbs., per OSHA recommendations Education Requirements: Current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia Certified by the American Board of Family Practice Certified in VHA-approved Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalency Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications from the American Heart Association
