The Centracare-Midsota Plastic Surgery team is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our diverse team of experienced surgeons and medical professionals. Join a highly collaborative team Because Midsota is a destination for many people seeking advanced medical esthetic skin care, reconstructive surgery and other surgical service, the ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion and technical expertise.
Schedule: Full-time Monday through Friday No night, holiday, weekend or call requirements Mix between clinic and surgery Outreach 1 -2 days per month The practice: Group of four experienced Plastic surgeons, three APPs, and medical professionals Ability to provide a full range of general and specialized plastic and reconstructive surgeries as well as cosmetic procedures and skincare services Consults and post-ops Inpatient and Outpatient work Key responsibilities consist of inpatient and outpatient work. Inpatient, the provider will be assisting in surgery, rounding on patients. The ideal candidate for this position would have a strong interest in general plastics, however, may also perform cosmetic injections (Botox/filler), consults and post-op appointments, lesion removal and more!
Education and Experience: Education: Graduate from a formal Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant program approved by a national accrediting agency.
Experience : Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Plastic Surgery is preferred.
Certifications :
Current licensure as a APRN or PA in the State of Minnesota required. Current certification by a national certification organization recognized by the State of Minnesota. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is an interdependent member of the multidisciplinary Midsota Plastic Surgery team who works independently and in collaboration with physicians. Provides direct, high quality patient care services requiring extensive skills and competency. Maintains professional competencies by attending educational programs and participates in professional organizations and appropriate activities. Practices within scope of practice as defined by certification/licensure standards and state and federal regulations. At times, required to testify in a court of law as needed.
