As Plant Manager of Dart's Plant City manufacturing facility, you will oversee approximately 200+ employees and work closely with the Plant Leadership Team (PLT) to develop and implement new and improved operations and processes, all with a committed focus on safety, quality, service, and cost. Your role also entails leading the plant's continuous improvement plan, conducting regular reviews with the PLT to assess progress, analyze problems, facilitate solutions, identify resources and adjust plans as needed.

In this role, you can expect open lines of communication both within the plant and with senior leadership. Day-to-Day Role: Develop and implement new and improved operations and processes, all with a committed focus on safety, quality, service, and cost
Direct practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet quality standards, and serve the needs of our customers.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives
Direct plant leadership team to assess progress, analyze problems, facilitate solutions, identify resources, and adjust plans as needed Ensure that objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements Identify, recommend, and implement short- and long-term business strategies Responsible for the organization's planning and budgeting Monitor KPIs's anticipating and correcting trends that would compromise the achievement of targets Facilitate regular improvement planning sessions to identify key strategic opportunities to achieve manufacturing strategic goals and develop related action plans with measurable outcomes. Support and reinforce the effective application of the Daily Management System to validate that actions lead to desired performance improvements. Lead by example to promote and encourage employees to strongly commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Understand, support, and follow management expectations in alignment with company values Accountable for overall plant employee engagement, talent assessment, and employee relations
Core Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess all of the following: Requires one of the following: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field with seven (7) years of manufacturing operations management or leadership assignments demonstrating a progression of increased scope and responsibility, OR High school diploma or equivalent with ten (10) years of manufacturing operations management or leadership assignments demonstrating a progression of increased scope and responsibility Five (5) years of experience managing department managers in the various functional area Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, cost analysis and budgeting, people management, and leadership guidance Displays strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence the decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams  Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas, approaches, and solutions Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint Demonstrated project management experience Ability to be on-call 24/7 Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license  Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Prior Plant Manager experience Experience managing multi-shift or continuous operations Paper converting, chemical or plastics processing, or packaging industrial experience Lean manufacturing experience Overview:  As the manufacturer of Dart® and Solo® brand products, Dart Container is an industry leading single-use food and beverage packaging company.
