Responsibilities
• Prepare the area for pipe laying by trenching and grading• Assist equipment operators in pipe placement• Backfill around pipe using hand tools• Set-up and work with pipe lasers and transits• Locate and mark the position of pipe and fittings• Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipes• Test pipes for leakage• Promote Garney Goals and Philosophies
Requirements
• Two years of experience installing large diameter pipes for water, sewer, storm drain• Experience working with construction tools and reading blueprints• Ability to work on feet for an entire day• Willingness to complete certifications and training provided by Garney• Willingness to work overtime and travel
Key Skills Needed
• Experience with pipe laying• Knowledge of construction tools• Ability to read blueprints• Physical stamina• Attention to detail
