Job Title: Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Location: Sterling Heights, MI
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both medical assisting and phlebotomy techniques, as well as a passion for providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples for testing
- Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms
- Take vital signs and record patient information accurately
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred
- CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical office procedures
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
