They work with customers and Technicians to find accessories and order parts for repairs and upgrades to vehicles.Specific Job-Related Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient mannerInforms customers of companion part requirements and specials; ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product lineCommunication:* Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other informationNotifies all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been receivedNotifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attentionReviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimatePulls and fills orders from stockLocates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessaryPulls orders for delivery to body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job numberFollows up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory dailyVerifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors; stocks items not picked up or requiredManages all aspects of billing and accounts payable including internal requests billed on service repair orders and direct customer payment/invoicingMaintain value, quality, and integrityQualificationsBilingual is a plusMinimum high school diploma or GED equivalent requiredParts Experienced PreferredExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook)Experience with automotive software preferredAbility to be analytical, problem solve and multi-taskProfessional appearance and work ethicAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and computers.Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Preferred, working knowledge of car parts and the tools used for cars.Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environmentMust be able to lift items up to 50-75 lbs.Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)Working ConditionsThe employee will work indoors and outdoors in an auto shop environment.While this list is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, this is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, or working conditions associated with the job.
