Part Time (25 hours weekly) Human Resources Specialist Location Pembroke Pines, FL : Power Financial Credit Union provides a stimulating work environment that is both productive and enjoyable. We are currently searching for a dynamic Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator/Specialist (onsite) (25 hours average weekly) to join our Credit Union family. This position will be based at our Pembroke Pines location and is an onsite position . This position will provide HR assistance to HR Management Team by supporting the Human Resources Operations with the following: employee engagement; recruitment activities for a variety of positions throughout the organization; maintaining organizational communication via eboards, emails, and other sources; and providing administrative support for payroll and benefits administration and ongoing special projects. This candidate will have flexibility with the 25 hours weekly with the exception of payroll Mondays (every other Monday). In this position you will: Spend ample time on selection and recruitment responding efficiently to a variety of HR Administration issues including but not limited to: 1) initial job postings ; 2) tracking applicants; 3) review and section of resumes; 4) sourcing candidates for selection; 4) phone screening/interviewing non-exempt candidates; 5) arranging interviews for candidates with Hiring Manager; 6) conducting background checks for candidates and; 6) assist with the general onboarding of New Hires as part of general systems support. Assist HR Team with a variety of Payroll functions to include: 1) bi-weekly payroll entries; 2) assisting Managers and Employees with timecard issues; 3) serving as a backup for payroll processing; 4) performing a variety of payroll reports: 5) ongoing training of payroll system to employees and new hire trainings. Assist in ad-hoc HR projects on an ongoing basis. Maintain a high level of personal integrity through a friendly, enthusiastic, confidential and professional demeanor. Coordinate engagement activities and daily employee engagement to include birthdays, anniversaries, virtual activities, onsite celebrations, employee events, employee celebrations and community events. May travel to PFCU Branch locations. Respond to internal and external HR related inquires or request and provide assistance Will redirect call or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team. Assist employees with enrolling into insurance plans, reconciliation of insurance bills for payments and answer any insurance questions. Play a key role in annual Open enrollment process each year. Perform all other duties as assigned. To be considered you will need: High School graduate or GED equivalency required Minimum: 2 years as an HR Specialist/Coordinator/Assistant in an HR Department with a minimum of 1 year of this time in recruitment process including selection and recruitment of candidates. Effective listening and communication skills Must be computer literate, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft software Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)/ Veterans/Disabled/ Drug-Free Workplace Note: (25 hours per week average- Flexible schedules available Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm.
