Parent Programs and Giving Coordinator Location Nashville, TN (Belmont Hillsboro area) : About the Office of University Advancement The Office of University Advancement helps Belmont University achieve its mission by building a stronger community of support for the entire campus amongst all its constituencies. In collaboration with university partners, Advancement is leading the effort to prepare for the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the university's history. Building on a track record of success, Belmont University is undergoing a period of growth and is actively increasing its institutional advancement capacity and capabilities so it can realize its full potential as a Christ-centered university in the thriving city of Nashville, TN. The Office of Advancement is led by Executive Vice President Dave Rosselli. Position Overview Reporting to the Director of Parent Programs & Giving, the Coordinator guides parents and fosters a sense of connection so parents feel a part of the Belmont community and want to give back through volunteering, career connections, hosting and giving. The Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the office, oversees broad parent communication through the CampusESP system, coordinates logistics for parent programs and plays a key role in campus and regional parent events, in collaboration with campus partners. The Coordinator travels to various cities and represents the Office of Parent Programs & Giving at events.
Essential Functions Responsible for digital engagement and communications by implementing a new platform - Campus ESP, in collaboration with the Director of Parent Programs & Giving and Enrollment Services. Maintain the Parent Programs and Giving Website, manage the parents email inbox () and social media strategy and posts. Provide timely responses and assistance to internal and external constituents, in collaboration with the Director and the broader Parent Engagement Team. Coordinate logistics for Advancement-related parent programs, including events and gatherings for the Parent Leadership Circle (Belmont's parent giving society) and the PLC Board. Play a key role in coordinating parent-centered campus events, including Parent & Family Weekend and Homecoming, in collaboration with campus partners. Support "hometown engagement" and events including BU2U parties in the spring and summer Send-Off parties, in collaboration with the Director and campus partners. Travel to various cities to support hometown engagement and events. Train and supervise student workers assigned to Office of Parent & Family Programs. Stay current on best practices in higher education and student development in the management of Parent & Family Programs through participation in professional associations including Association of Higher Education Parent/Family Program Professionals (AHEPPP). Manage data needs, contact lists, and calendars for the office. The above statements describe the job's essential responsibilities and requirements. Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in development, alumni relations or other relevant experience in higher education is preferred.

Detail oriented, proficiency in Excel and experience with technology platforms such as Campus ESP, Banner, Salesforce. Consensus builder who seeks input and perspectives from others to make informed decisions and set strategic courses of action. Possess a level of self-confidence to make contributions, present ideas and perform at the executive management level. High energy and enthusiasm for fundraising. Strong strategist who is entrepreneurial, innovative, and creative. Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to articulate the needs, interests, and achievements of Belmont University, along with strong listening skills. Principled colleague with impeccable personal integrity, a strong work ethic, and who regularly goes above and beyond to serve the University. Experience working in a fast-paced, high performing environment with the ability to pivot and lead in high-pressure situations.
