What you'll do Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Labor & Employment and Litigation Support: Providing support to Labor and Employment team members, including developing and leading training and leading all-company initiatives with respect to labor and employment matters Researching, gathering, organizing, preparing and summarizing relevant materials for use by the Legal Team in a broad range of labor and employment and litigation matters Developing and implementing a centralized process for the execution of legal documents, and ensuring timely and proper execution by company executives and other leaders Take lead responsibility for the completion and filing of annual reports with federal, state and local governmental and regulatory authorities Review and draft various type of agreements and correspondence in accordance with defined rules and checklists and under supervision and training of Legal Team attorneys Assist Legal Team attorneys and outside counsel in preparing materials for mediation and arbitration Assist with the identification and summarizing of relevant issues in ongoing litigation and other legal disputes; continually monitor case issues and update Legal Team attorneys and outside counsel, as appropriate Project Management: Manage day-to-day legal operation workflow for the Legal Team Direct both the legal intake and document management systems to maintain data integrity and ensure prompt assignment of matters to attorneys for legal review Implement data-driven strategies to enhance efficiency, optimize workflows, and increase productivity within the Legal Team Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of work across the Legal Team Technology Management: Evaluate, implement, and manage legal technology tools to enhance Legal Team performance and reduce total costs and expenses Oversee the integration of legal software and systems to improve workflow automation and data management Organize and manage the Legal Team's SharePoint site and content as well as the Legal Team's resources posted to the company intranet Utilize data analytics to assess the Legal Team's performance and identify areas for improvement Generate regular reports for Legal Team leadership, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external Legal Team service providers, including law firms, lobbyists and other vendors Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure favorable terms and value for the organization Develop and enforce policies and processes to manage outside counsel and other service provider usage and spend Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Bachelor's degree, ABA approved Paralegal Certificate preferred At least five (5) years Paralegal experience A strong understanding of Labor and Employment Law and Litigation/Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience managing legal team operations, including working with legal support software, billing software, document management systems and other tools Extensive experience identifying, collecting, and preserving digital and physical evidence Knowledge of legal holds and discovery process Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; Ability to identify, prioritize and solve problems efficiently and effectively; Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and external parties What you'll gain The benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up . Final hourly pay rate offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base hourly range = $43.00-$48.00 per hour
