FCx Performance is seeking a Technical Outside Sales Representative to join our team to support locations in the Pacific Northwest including Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. FCx Performance, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is a leader in providing flow control solutions and services.
In this role, you will apply your experience as a subject matter expert in flow control and process systems with a core focus on pumps, valves, instrumentation, and other flow control equipment. You will use your consultative selling approach to learn about various customer applications and needs through collaboration with personnel at all levels within the customers' organizations. In each case, you will help specify and select pumps, valves, instrumentation, and other flow control equipment. Responsibilities: Engage with customers, supplier representatives and internal resources to prepare and present process flow controls solutions to both customers and internal associates in order to support existing and drive new business. This includes reviewing installed solutions, drawings, plans and other customer documents to prepare technical proposals involving products and services offered Plan, implement, and execute targeted programs to enhance process efficiency, pinpoint product failures/recommend new product to reduce downtime due to product failure, and identify opportunities for product consolidation Perform periodic reviews of customer current product usage and effectiveness among all customer plant locations Develop professional working relationships with key supplier resources to help specify products and systems that will enhance customer performance Create and present technical presentations to customers about value added process improvements Collect and identify data with the customer to size, select and quote process equipment. Provide product sourcing assistance and continually pursue products within our scope of supply. Generate, document, and track cost savings achieved by FCx Performance and Applied Industrial Technologies and document value add to our customers Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma required 2+ years experience with technical process applications in a professional sales capacity Experience in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory Ability to communicate and demonstrate technical thoughts and solutions to multiple levels of organizations Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of organizations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven problem solving and time management skills Preferred: Experience in a related FCx Performance product groups including- pumps, valves, and/or instrumentation.
