Responsibilities
• Monitor extruders for continuous operation• Perform mixing and set-up operation• Maintain operational log on all settings and temperatures• Remove and position spools on take-up• Check lines for roughness, proper test, correct diameter, and elongation• Monitor wind and tension on spools• Perform die changes, braid changes, color changes, and material changes• Record usage of material and note scrap• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment• Disassemble and reassemble die packs• Drive continuous improvement using Lean techniques• Drive continuous improvement within the QMS for Pure Fishing and perform select SAP transactions
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED or 6-12 months related experience• Mechanical aptitude and good hand dexterity and coordination• Ability to follow set recipes and data to produce quality monofilament• Ability to work overtime and a 7-day shift operation• Ability to handle spools and materials weighing from 5 to 50 pounds• Ability to work under very warm conditions• Ability to use good judgment to maximize yield while maintaining safety
