Job summary
The primary responsibility of the Occupational Therapist (OT) is to provide safe and competent occupational therapy interventions.Ensuring the highest degree of quality care for our villagers at all times.Plan, delegate, and provide therapy interventions as ordered by a physician.

Responsibilities
• Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.• Supervise assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel.• Make referrals to other disciplines as needed for comprehensive care.• Demonstrate competent technical skills according to Occupational Therapy standards.• Communicate changes in villager's condition and participate in care conferences.• Prescribe necessary durable medical equipment and provide accurate billing records.• Respond to family requests and concerns in a timely manner.• Coordinate training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staff.• Ensure no villager abuse or neglect occurs.• Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and community partners.
Requirements
• Experience in post-acute or long-term care environment preferred.• Current, unencumbered, active Colorado NBCOT License required.• High school diploma or equivalent, AA Degree in Business Administration preferred.• Basic computer knowledge required.• Knowledge of current Colorado occupational therapy practices and procedures.• Current NBCOT certification and CPR certification as requested.
