Responsibilities for this Position Job description Job Description General Dynamics Land Systems at Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA is seeking an experienced Manager in support of Stryker New Equipment Training (NET) activities world-wide. The NET Organization contains Supervisors and Certified Instructors formed into teams to conduct Operator (OPNET) and Field Logistics Maintenance (FLMNET) level training activities. The Managers primary responsibility is to provide leadership, strategy, and planning of the business aspects of the NET Organization in accordance with the established project priorities and resources available to meet or exceed customer requirements.
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing leadership, strategy, and planning for the successful project execution of NET teams progress in achieving the established goals for Cost, Schedule, Performance, Quality, and Compliance. Interface and coordinate with external customer and GDLS business unit representatives to ensure the NET team is properly resourced to execute all customer requirements. Manage the project budgets and cost controls across the NET team with regards to labor, material, other direct cost (ODC) charges, and travel expenditures. Provide management oversight of essential quality aspects such as Quality Assurance trends, workforce professional development, new product training, and continuous process improvements. Provide management oversight of key compliance metrics including property accountability, environmental compliance, mandatory training, calibrations, travel cards, and external/internal audits. Responsible for maintaining morale, welfare, and promote safe working environments for the M&S workforce. Provide support to GDLS Stryker Program Office for proposal development and contract negotiations as applicable. Qualifications:
Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree Preferred Possess 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role and/or have equivalent military service. Must have proven ability and experience in team management and leadership of large groups. Must be proficient at planning and monitoring multiple project requirements concurrently. Must be a problem solver, exercise disciplined initiative, and communicate in a highly effective manner (verbal and written). Must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Army training, maintenance and logistics systems. GDLS leadership experience and knowledge of GDLS policies and procedures a plus. Must have proven ability to complete programs and projects on time, on budget and with quality results. Must be willing to work effectively in a team-oriented structure to include field operations, office, and shop environments both on and off of military installations. Must be willing and able to travel, live and operate Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). Must be able to qualify for and able to secure and maintain a US Passport for deployment. Must have the ability to be issued and maintain a Corporate AMEX card. Must qualify for security clearance if required. Demonstrated record of customer intimacy and support resulting in a high degree of customer satisfaction required. Must work effectively in a team-oriented structure with GDLS and USG representatives both on and off military installations. Must be able to gain and maintain access to military facilities. Must be a U.S. Citizen Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Position Salary Range: New hires generally start between $95,000 and $110,000 per year. Applicants placement within the range is based on qualifications and professional experience. The full salary range for the position is between $89,000 and $133,600 per year.
Position Incentive: Hired applicant will be able to receive an annual bonus.
