Coordinator of Middle and High School Faith Formation & CommunicationsFull timeReports to DeaconJob Summary:The Coordinator of Middle and High School Faith Formation is responsible for facilitating the educational needs of middle and high school students in their journey of faith. The Coordinator is a member of the pastoral team. This position is quite diversified and requires a balanced variety of skills and experience, being capable of effective expression in an organized, articulate, and concise manner. Must prioritize regular workload with special assignments and/or parish projects, be prompt in meeting deadlines, and provide consistent follow-through and communication among staff and parishioners. Should identify opportunities for progress and parish growth, be helpful in the implementation process, and provide assistance and communication to administrative staff in coordinating work/special projects. Currently assists staff as the communications coordinator.Skills, Education, and Abilities:Bachelor's degree or previous professional experience is helpful. Pleasant interpersonal skills with parishioners, parish staff, other ministers, and a multitude of outside contacts; work with a minimum of supervision; written and verbal communication skills; dependability & confidentiality; adept organizational & record keeping skills; ability to be detail oriented; prioritizing & meeting timelines. Comfortable working with Google Suite applications and ability to learn new software is required. Working knowledge of WordPress is helpful.Duties and Responsibilities:Faith FormationPlan and implement faith formation programming for students in grades 7-10Plan and implement Confirmation Preparation for students in Grade 11 according to the Diocesan GuidelinesRecruit, train and coach 6-10 small group leaders to lead students in fruitful conversation and build meaningful relationshipsTeach weekly large group lessons for Grades 7 and 8, 9 and 10 and ConfirmationWork with individual students and families to implement home-study faith formation as needed.Collaborate with the Neenah Menasha Youth Ministry Team to plan and execute service opportunities, social events, and special events.Use E-Catholic software to set up faith formation registration, classes, billing, and update parishioner contact information.Organize, plan, and implement summer mission trips with the Neenah Menasha Youth Ministry Team. Coordinate students, find chaperones, fundraise, and communicate all details to parents.Work with the Elementary Faith Formation Coordinator to plan and implement Family Night eventsCommunicationsWork with parish staff to effectively communicate upcoming events and news to parishionersWrite weekly newsletters that capture the spirit of St. Gabriel and include news and information of upcoming events, special notices, etc.Collaborate with Parish Staff to maintain the parish Facebook page and websiteMaintain email database and monitor analytics to improve communications and make changes as needed.Nature of Supervision Received:Works independently under the direction of the pastor and Business Administrator, within authority limits and experience level.Judgment Exercised/Decisions Made:Decisions are recommended to Pastor, Business Administrator, or appropriate committee member.American and Disabilities Act:Position requires the ability to react to fast pace customer and company demands, verbally converse with other individuals; move and lift objects of 20 pounds; requires the use of office equipment including telephone, personal computer, and use fax and copy machines.
