Position Overview: We are in search of a dynamic individual to fill the role of Merchandiser/Assistant to Buyer. This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient merchandise presentation in-store, while also providing crucial administrative support to the buying team.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct weekly store visits, three days per week, for re-merchandising purposes, maintaining adherence to brand standards. Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create captivating displays that enhance the customer shopping experience. Monitor inventory levels and product performance, providing recommendations for adjustments to optimize sales. Assist the buyer in various administrative tasks such as data entry, inventory management, and purchase order processing. Maintain accurate records of merchandise, including pricing, SKU numbers, and product descriptions. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to track shipments and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly. Collaborate with the buyer to develop merchandise assortments aligned with the company's brand identity and target market. Communicate with vendors regarding product specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines. Assist in sorting and processing incoming orders from vendors, including allocation of products to stores and inter-store transfers to meet demand. Multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Proficiency in utilizing a Point of Sale (POS) system and Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis. Qualifications: Previous experience in retail merchandising. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and experience with POS systems.
