Medical Assistant Marathon Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to support Dot Foods from its near-site employer-sponsored health and wellness center in University Park, IL.
You'll treat individuals and families (ages 2+) in a healthcare setting that values quality of care, longer appointment times, and a more relaxed daily rhythm ? all so you can build and grow trusted relationships with your patients and help them reach their wellness goals.
Role highlights include:
40 hour per week position ? no weekends required! Monday and Wednesday 7am-6pm, Tuesday and Thursday 7am -12pm, Friday 7am-5pm. WATCH: What It's Like to Practice Healthcare at Marathon Health The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting both the front and back office, including greeting and rooming patients, scheduling, answering phones, taking vitals, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support wherever needed. Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the center's staff is a key ingredient to success in this position. 
Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience (in addition to an externship) Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred Phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required Attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with patients and strong computer skills required You should want to work in an environment where health education and outreach is important to you and challenges you to make a difference A commitment to living by our Ambassadors Code values of integrity, compassion, respect, exceptional service, and teamwork About Marathon Health: Patient care is different here.
