Job Functions:  Public Relations, Crisis Communication, and Social Responsibility Partners with Director of External Communications and agency to develop public relations strategy and annual plan.
Manages strategic execution of trade and consumer-focused PR campaigns, including brand activations, partnerships, media relations, and pitch initiatives in partnership with the PR agency of record (AOR). Coordinates interviews for the President and CEO and brand leadership representatives. Arranges media interview counsel and training for brand spokespeople, as appropriate. Assists the same stakeholders with crisis communication support when the brand faces a public challenge to its  reputation . Partners with the AOR on sponsored events to coordinate invitations and attendance.
Collaborates with Marketing and Restaurant Excellence leads to understand promotions, LTOs, and key business initiatives to generate media coverage. Assists on all brand-differentiating partnerships and collaborations to increase brand visibility with key audiences. Looks for opportunities to insert the brand into trending, pop culture topics that reinforce the brand's position and the company's values. Maintains a consistent system of documenting key metrics and reporting, in partnership with the AOR.
Assists with all sponsorships and philanthropic activities and related earned media opportunities.
Grand Opening and Consumer Facing Event Management Partners with brand leaders to plan and execute guest-facing events.
Duties would include:
defining event objectives and KPIs managing processes such as scheduling and leading meetings with stakeholders and communicating creative and production needs to Marketing Services for execution In partnership with Director of External Communications, is responsible for Grand Opening strategy and budget.
Supervises PR partner's pre-opening, event day, and post-opening initiatives, including media training new Operators.
Social Media Strategy Content Creation and Management Develops, implements, and manages seasonal and evergreen social strategies, playing a leading role in developing the brand's voice across all social platforms. Collaborates closely with Marketing team members to translate storytelling into measurable outcomes. Develops content calendar and creative briefs for social content based on consumer and category insights and macro trends. Writes social content scripts, posts, and comments for distribution.
Plans, schedules, and monitors the implementation of the social content calendar, and collaborates with Marketing Manager, Digital Omnichannel. Develops organic content strategy and content for social media channels including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Owns implementation of real-time social coverage for key brand moments such as events, activations, and sponsorships, partnering with Senior Creative Director to minimize any delays.
Builds a passionate audience and drives engagement. Leads day-to-day community management and social listening, engaging with brand and category mentions and jumping on trending conversations.
Is the one in the know, advocating for emerging social platforms, trending content, and innovative strategies. Develops relationships with agency partners and social platforms to be first to know about best practices and new opportunities.
Prepare period and quarter social reports to evaluate the success of organic campaigns, evaluate performance, and optimize. Present to stakeholders periodically.
Brand Partnerships, Paid Influencers & Content Creators Identifies and recommends brand-right influencers to partner with, to grow desired audiences. Writes briefs to initiate seasonal or evergreen campaigns, negotiates payments, assesses the quality of content they create, and measures expected results.
Develops and maintains business relationships with talent, agencies, and media stakeholders built on mutual respect and collaboration. Uses key metrics such as impressions, click-through rates, social shares, and sales to measure the performance of the influencer campaigns, creates reports, and presents to stakeholders periodically.
Social Media Monitoring/Patrolling Partners with the Customer Service Representative and our research partner, SMG, on SocialView to understand brand sentiment, customer perceptions, and brand activities. Leverages SocialView to manage and optimize Yelp and Google reviews. Monitors Sprout Social and Facebook Pages using this platform to monitor all brand social pages.
Guest Recovery/Interaction Supports the Customer Service Representatives who actively monitors and patrols social media on the brand's behalf, reports any harmful activities to the appropriate stakeholders, and responds to any guest comments that need further discussion.
Paid Media Execution In collaboration with Director of External Communications, prepares campaign message briefs and articulates media assets required and timelines.
Coordinates asset deliverables, traffic, and schedules for all quarterly promotions, ensuring the delivery to media partners.
Crafts media and campaign-related communications to inform the board/leadership team and Operations stakeholders about seasonal initiatives.
Prepares quarterly performance dashboards and uses campaign metrics to provide insights and recommendations.
Intellectual Property. Manage intellectual property for the brand including trademarks and brand execution. Liaison with legal representation on all aspects of brand identification and claims.
Budget Management Manages invoices related to public relations and social media efforts. Partners with the Director of External Communications to manage the traditional paid media Marketing budget. This would include managing invoices and reconciling approved media budget per period.
Education: Bachelor of Arts, Journalism and Mass Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, Creative Writing, or related field Bachelor of Science, Marketing, or related field Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage their workload. Strong communication/speaking/writing skills to collaborate effectively and efficiently with the executive team, restaurants, departments, and guests. Must possess excellent computer skills for presentations, project management, and platform and program analytics.
5-8 years of work experience in PR/communication, social media content management, paid media management, or marketing preferred. Experience with Marketing, PR & Event Planning, Social Media Content Management, Paid Media Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to write copy for a variety of audiences and media. Craft internal presentations and present to stakeholders Content Strategy, Development, Engaged Social Media Platform User, has experience with SM content publishing tools and SM performance metrics on platform analytics dashboards. Prefer someone with social media ready production skills, including photography and videography. Demonstrates attention to detail. Project management, calendar, and budget management Ability to thrive in an environment of growth and change; ability to manage high-visibility projects Analytical thinking skills; ability to interpret data to make informed recommendations Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office programs, Adobe, CMS, Google Analytics, Social Platforms, Review Sites) Core Competencies and Behaviors: This role requires a go the extra mile person who is accountable, self-motivated, dedicated, high energy, and stable. Must be team-oriented and communicate effectively with internal and external teams, including third-party vendors. Candidate must be willing to manage multiple, complex projects and willing to work additional hours to finish projects with urgent deadlines. The Marketing Manager Public Relations, Social Media, and Paid Media will be responsible for partnering on external communication projects with Marketing team members and cross-departmental members. While they will not have direct reports, they will lead many projects requiring effective management skills.
