Manufacturing Intern

This is an opportunity for someone with an interest in learning more about machining, maintenance, and process improvement in the steel industry. The Manufacturing Intern will learn about safety, the production process, machining, maintenance, process improvement, and our Nucor culture. The internship will be project focused with opportunities to get hands on mechanical experience and to practice problem solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to organize, plan, and prioritize tasks. They must be dependable and be able to work in a team enviranment.
This is a paid internship for Summer 2024. The Internship will be approximately 15 weeks. The pay rate for this position is $17.00 an hour.
There will be two optional Intern Summits for the Manufacturing Intern to attend over the summer. All travel expenses for the Internship will be covered by Nucor Skyline.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
