Position Overview: The primary role of the Manager of Sales Training is to lead the sales learning programs for new hire onboarding and to provide ongoing skill development and reinforcement at the field level. Our training programs, The S.T.A.R. Sales Learning, and the Sales Fusions programs are targeted to attract out-of-the-industry sales professionals, as well as home-building sales professionals. The goal is to provide the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and competencies allowing for a fast ramp to sales productivity. This person will be working with the new hires, division sales teams, sales leadership, and corporate and external consultants to provide:
Soft-skill training application, implementation, improvement, and adoption methods of the Ashton Woods/Starlight Homes sales methodology.Facilitation of in-person workshops and online learning through webinars and eLearning courses.Sales office visits to provide coaching and skill development for sales performance improvement.Technical skills-based knowledge (Dynamic Builder, Salesforce.com, RingCentral Telephone, RingCentral Meetings, Pardot, etc.)Support the Ashton Woods/Starlight Homes performance management system for sales professionals.On-Site coaching and training with front-line New Home Sales Consultants, Community Sales Managers and VPs/Directors.Involvement in the continuous improvement of our customer-facing selling methodology with both internal and external consultants.The Manager of Sales Training will work to continuously design, develop, improve, facilitate, and measure the effectiveness of consistent learning solutions that meet the organizational needs of the sales organization.
Duties and Responsibilities: Training the Ashton Woods/ Starlight Homes Sales New Hire Onboarding program for all sales new hires and new hire sales mentors.Work, as directed, with division sales leadership to conduct needs analysis to identify learning solutions designed to improve job performance and meet business needs.Design and develop components of a training program including instructor guides, participant guides, mentor guides, webinars, online learning modules, skill practices, sales meeting guides, job aids, knowledge checks, and skill evaluation assessments.Update and maintain all training documents and tools to reflect feedback and revisions required.Develop instructor-led virtual training content and facilitate virtual and in-person classroom programs.Strengthen relations with divisions to understand the needs of our business.Identify system/process improvement opportunities and work with the learning and development team to develop solutions.Monitor, evaluate and report on the key technology platforms of the sales organization (Dynamic Builder, SFDC, RingCentral Telephone, RingCentral Meetings, Pardot, AW University etc.) for changes and enhancements.Engage in regular field visits with new hires and mentors to examine, observe and gather field insights and perspectives during the week and weekend. Leverage these interactions into a continuous loop of improvement across all mediums.Engage in the development, design, and implementation of the Ashton Woods Learning Management System.Manage learning expenses and accountability for staying within stated budgets and timelines.Provide continued daily support for sales new hires, new hire sales mentors, and community sales managers.Provide exceptional service through professional, accurate, prompt, and courteous communication.Travel will be less than 50%.Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with emphasis in sales, sales management or training and development.New Home Sales, New Home Sales Management and/or New Home training experience is preferred, but not required.Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) certification is preferred, but not required.Technical experience is preferred (CRM, LMS, Performance management), but not required.Excellent facilitation skills, oral and written communication skills.Basic understanding and skills to utilize the various learning technologies.Basic understanding of iPads and Microsoft Office is required.Ability to manage projects and influence key constituents.Must be well groomed and have a professional demeanor.Individual must be highly self-motivated and driven with the ability to adapt to new processes and learn new skills.Ability to travel frequently and independently manage schedule.Proven organizational skills in a high-paced work environment.Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task while maintaining quality
