Job Description Salary Range: 95-120K Base + Bonus
This position will have an in-office requirement of 2x a week minimum, hybrid, in our Jersey City Location.
About the Role The Manager, Experiential Events exudes passion and a desire to craft strong brand experiences to life at Verisk. Whether it is leading a Verisk event or conference, considering a new Verisk experience in our offices, or piloting a new experiential technology to drive business value, this individual plays a critical role in championing experiential marketing efforts for Verisk.
The Manager, Experiential Events supports the connectivity and collaboration across a team of event coordinators, product marketers and strategy team members to bring the Verisk experience to life and reports to the Sr. Director, Experiential Marketing.
The individual should have considerable proficiency in event planning, event execution, data-driven event analytics and executive communications. They should be skilled in leading experiential event strategies across multiple business units and time zones; have demonstrated success managing event strategy & execution for large, global organizations; and, be viewed as a trusted partner and advisor to senior leaders.
The right candidate will have demonstrated teamwork and consensus building in his/her work accomplishments and the ability to adapt to an ever-evolving modern marketing landscape. The position is based in Jersey City, NJ.
Overall Responsibilities: Manages the company's enterprise-wide in-person, virtual and experiential programs Partner with product marketing teams to identify, create and produce a broad spectrum of experiential programs from virtual marketing activations to a suite of in-person experiences Drive creative and brand strategy that results in compelling experiences that inspire audiences to connect, learn and collaborate Prioritize strategic investments in building experiences that align with Verisk marketing strategies A hands-on experienced individual with a good balance of marketing, business, and leadership competencies, this role requires a significant level of independent thought and an ability to embrace ambiguity and challenge existing norms to exceed goals and objectives of the marketing team Maintain a deep understanding of Verisk's industries including competitive landscape (and their experiential strategies), businesses, product lines and value propositions Leverage data to drive decision-making and ROI Ability to deliver and drive process improvements that improve event efficiency and quality External and Internal Experiences (Verisk-owned and Industry Events/Tradeshows) Provide stakeholders with a balance of vision and tactics to help them meet their target audience objectives Execute on professional-level delivery and knowledge of best practices related to global event strategy, design, and execution, including large-scale in-person events and virtual events (including webinars, conferences, tradeshows, exhibit booths, sponsorships, demos, and speaking engagements) Plan (with strong project management skills), deliver, and analyze experiential marketing efforts Articulate the role and goal of digital and in-person experiences Guide approach to internal events that expand to encompass experiences that build Verisk's culture Lead team members on end-to-end experience execution and evaluation Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in events, marketing, or related field, or demonstrated equivalent in work experience Corporate Events Professional (7+ years) Proven success leading all aspects of event logistics and strategy (event feasibility, design, operations, on-site execution, evaluation) for global organizations Demonstrated expertise in leveraging event technologies to produce a high-quality, customer-centric experiences and to provide post-event data and metrics Experience managing tradeshow inventory (ExhibitForce a plus) Skilled communicator effective at all levels of the organization Data-driven mindset Excellent data-first skills across tracking, measurement and analytics to deliver ROI, insights and strategy recommendations Skilled in event monitoring and tracking tools Experience building and monitoring dashboards that demonstrate ROI and business impact Leadership of high-performance teams Lead and inspire a team of event planners and experiential team members who are responsible for end-to-end event marketing delivery, including project/budget management, executive engagement, logistical and operational elements, site selection and sponsorships Expert at leading centralized and decentralized teams, developing talent and mentoring direct reports Skilled leader of third-party partners with expertise negotiating vendor contracts for all aspects of exhibits, sponsorships and event planning Ability to travel (up to 30%), and work overtime and irregular hours as needed to support business needs Skills Innovative and creative thinker: pioneer who embraces bold ideas Team player: high EQ, low ego, resourceful, frugal; treats resources as their own "Let's go" attitude: optimist, contagious enthusiast, sees the upside Accountability matters: drives for results as coach and team player; bias to outcomes Exhibits aptitude: always learning and growing; constantly attempts new experiences Adaptable: works quickly and nimbly; able and willing to wear multiple hats without hesitation; resilient Grit: passionate, self-directed and motivated; demonstrates endurance Additional Information In 2022, Verisk received Great Place to Work® Certification for our outstanding workplace culture for the sixth year in a row and second-time certification in the UK, Spain, and India.
