Maintenance Technician

Job summary
The Maintenance Tech performs highly diversified duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of machines, equipment and plant facilities.Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Responsibilities
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and maintain supporting documentation for the PM's.• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager.• Order and schedule parts as well as jobs using Microsoft Office.• Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) at all times.• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.• High school diploma or equivalent.• Must be 18 years of age.• Able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual capabilities are a plus.• Able to communicate and take direction effectively.• Attention to detail and legible record-keeping skills.• Must be highly motivated, flexible, and have creative problem-solving abilities.• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.• Experience in welding and fabrication, 3-phase electrical, troubleshooting AC & DC drives.• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
