The technician will maintain, repair, and install plant production and/or processing equipment. You will contribute to the total efficiency and productivity of our facility.
What You'll Do: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of production & processing machinery and equipment, including but not limited to motors, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems Perform root cause analysis to diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify effective solutions to reduce downtime and maintain production efficiency Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, aligned with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment documentation Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment by following proper maintenance, housekeeping and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety and government regulations Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend modifications or upgrades to enhance equipment performance and reliability Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in maintenance practices, attending training sessions and workshops as required Other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of plant maintenance and productivity Who You Are: Safety focused with the proven ability to safely work on and around complex, automated machinery A collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication skills Skilled in troubleshooting Electrical, PLC (Allen Bradley), Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motors, and mechanical systems Proactive and able to work independently Able to work all shifts in a 24x 7 operation Able and willing to work in a non-temperature regulated environment What You'll Need: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required Technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical maintenance preferred Food/beverage or CPG manufacturing experience preferred; juice blending, pasteurization, concentration and tank storage is a plus 3+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic focused on machine maintenance and repair within a manufacturing/processing or similar environment required Applicant must pass Welch's standard aptitude testing for this position Welch's is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer: Minority/Female/Disability/Protected Veteran
