Develop and implement strategic improvements for technical and maintenance organizational systems.Individual accountabilitiesEstablish jobs or tasks necessary to comply with the plant's objectives or programs, and defines them complete with specific instructions, technical specifications, methods, and procedures as applicable.Plan, schedule and assign those jobs or tasks ensuring in the process the availability of tools, parts, supplies and equipment.Follow-up on the effectiveness of the work or operations performed and takes or initiate Improvement measures where necessary.The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of SAP, predictive, and preventive maintenance programs as applicable to his areas.Provide on-the-spot guidance and formal training as required.Maintain working and support documentation.Maintain working and history files on improvement projects in SAP.Carry out and/or oversee the development and implementation of modifications that are the result of Improvement maintenance actions.Remain up to date on new technologies and techniques.Specific accountabilitiesThe completeness and accuracy of the equipment files and history. And to keep current the Equipment Parts Catalog on each piece of existing equipment and develop parts lists for new equipment installations.Maintain an up to date equipment specification database to serve as a tool in support the continual improvement of Inspection and Planning functions.Maintain a technical filing system to serve as a tool in support the continual improvement of Inspection and Planning functions.Assist the Planner(s) with development and maintenance of accurate equipment parts catalogues utilizing SAP.Participate in the development of the annual Maintenance Department budget through advising on suggested improvements to enhance reliability, equipment availability and reduce maintenance and/or operating costs.Assist the Methods Engineer in tracking and driving improvements in Inspection and Planning performance.Through leading the plant Reliability Focus Groups, lead the investigation of chronic problems, research, design and implementation of improvement solutions.Constantly looking for new methods of operation for the department, which will improve equipment reliability, improve expected life span of equipment and reduce maintenance cost.Full utilization of SAP in accordance with Argos Best Practices.Participate in the Maintenance Supervisor On-Call Program.EducationBachelor of Science degree preferably in mechanical engineering.Technical knowledge and certificationsPrevious work experience in continuous manufacturing preferably in the cement industry.Demonstrated ability to take initiative based on sound problem solving skills.Demonstrated leadership skills via personal standards of conduct, work ethics, ability to delegate, etc. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Previous experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project Management, Microsoft Outlook, SAP and CAD.Leadership capabilities with supervisory/managerial career aspirations.Flexible team player with strong inter-personal skills, with the ability to deal with human and technical adverse situations.Area of experienceEngineeringLanguagesEnglish C2: Advanced - NativeAnnual Salary Range from $78,448.03 to $108,955.60
