Position Description:

We are searching for a Loan Servicing Specialist. This role will monitor and coordinate the flow of information and documents pertaining to participation loans. It is responsible for interpreting certain details of individual loans pertaining to compliance monitoring requirements. Works under limited supervision and utilizes independent judgment as necessary. Functions effectively as part of a broader team and supports colleagues as appropriate. Follows established processes and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls. Escalates matters to Credit Administration Manager as appropriate.

Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:

Working in our hybrid work design you will:
Collects and organizes post-close loan documents for review and analysis to input pertinent compliance monitoring data into the data tracking system. Examines documents for reporting and covenant requirements.
Performs monitoring of loans by assembling and compiling documents from closing to set up for compliance monitoring data tracking system. Ensures documents are accurate and complete.
On-going process of downloading and saving legal documents and compliance reporting to update compliance monitoring data tracking system. Provides notices of pending actions as required.
Distributes compliance reporting and legal documents to sub-participants in a timely fashion.
Establishes relevant files, to maintain a variety of loan records and credit information- following prescribed naming conventions and file format.
Supports Credit Administration Manager in reviewing and granting permission to the Capital Markets SharePoint site per established SPI procedures.
Reviews loan records for compliance to assure that all information and documents are received. Creates, reviews and distributes compliance monitoring reports weekly, monthly and as requested. Research and requests items from lead lender to clear overdue items.
Assists in the electronic documentation delivery process for internal and external audits.
Prepares documents and correspondence for reports as required.
Reviews credit desk analysis forms for upcoming legal amendments, and waiver notifications.
Completes special projects as assigned.

It's an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:

Two (2) to three (3) years relevant work experience, preferably in credit administration and document review. Proven ability to critically analyze documents, problem solving skills, and follow internal controls. Relevant experience gained through work in financial services or mortgage lending.

Specialized knowledge of various types of credit offerings and the procedures required for administration of related loans. Specialized knowledge of loan administration practices, including legal document review, credit monitoring and related documentation. General knowledge of accounting/financial systems. Professional and courteous oral and written communication are required. Problem solving skills and proficiency in organizing and prioritizing work are also required. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to communicate effectively, handle multiple concurrent tasks and learn new applications quickly. The incumbent should have a sound understanding of credit and legal terminology and work well under pressure.
