Overview:
Are you deeply passionate about literature and the power of community engagement? Do you excel at crafting and coordinating programs that ignite creativity and foster literacy? We're on the lookout for a committed Program Coordinator to join our team and lead our efforts in Literary Outreach and Engagement. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with librarians nationwide to champion several of our organization's literary programs, empowering individuals of all ages to explore their imaginations and share their unique stories.
This is an independent contractor position.
Responsibilities:
Work hand-in-hand with librarians across the country to promote and execute our organization's diverse literary programs, including "Writing Equals Catharsis," "Seniors' Legacy," "Business Book Writing," "Illustrated Children's Book," and "Self-Help Book Writing."
Act as the primary liaison for librarians interested in joining our programs, offering guidance, resources, and assistance throughout the enrollment process.
Manage program logistics, from scheduling workshops to securing facilitators and overseeing program materials.
Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with librarians, community groups, and other partners to broaden the reach and effectiveness of our programs.
Monitor program participation and impact, gathering feedback and success stories to gauge effectiveness and guide future initiatives.
Contribute to the development of program materials, marketing assets, and online resources to bolster program visibility and implementation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as English, Education, or Library Science) or equivalent practical experience.
Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with a knack for juggling multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic setting.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a proven track record of building rapport and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Genuine enthusiasm for literacy, storytelling, and community involvement, underscored by a profound appreciation for the pivotal role libraries play in nurturing lifelong learning.
While experience in library settings or with library programs is advantageous, it's not a prerequisite.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected, and familiarity with project management tools is a bonus.

Pay: From $100.00 per week
