Wage: $10.55 / hour
Open Until Filled GENERAL PURPOSE The Library Page works under the direction of the page supervisor, with general responsibilities of shelving library materials.
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES Shelve all assigned library items accurately and quickly. Shift items on shelves to maintain even item distribution. Inspect all items in assigned sections for correct order. Maintain face-out item displays on shelves and on any other assigned displays. Keep items on shelves pulled forward and neat. Dust and pick up trash in assigned areas. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor. MINIMUM QUALIFICIATIONS Education: No education requirement, but must be at least sixteen (16) years of age. Experience: Prior experience a plus, but not required. Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet, with the ability to assist patrons with computers, tablets and phones. Skills/Abilities Must know how to alphabetize and categorize quickly and accurately. Must be comfortable working alone for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend and stoop and reach high places. Must be able to stand and move for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required. Must be able to understand and carry out instructions in written and verbal format. Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written and verbal format. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to bend and stoop and reach high places. Must be able to stand and move for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
