Come join our team as an Underground Plumber! Underground Plumber can operate a mini excavator and has prior plumbing experience laying pipe and doing level pitch excavating. You will also assist in the training and development of high potential team members within the organization. Consistently demonstrate and model the core values of Fischer Plumbing.
RESPONSIBILITIES Experience in residential excavation with a Mini excavator. Ability to safely operate a truck with excavator trailer. Have a working knowledge of safety equipment and PPE. Experience in underground piping layout. Experience in reading blueprints. Ability to work in all weather conditions with prolonged exposure to all weather patterns. Experience installing underground drainage and water lines. Express the ability to work as part of a team. Express the ability to LEAD a team. Will be expected to assemble, install, and repair pipes both sanitary drainage and water piping. Will be expected to properly lay out and install underground piping for residential homes. Will be expected to properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment when doing so. Must understand test out procedures for municipal inspection. Employee will also be expected to have standard knowledge of plumbing codes for the installation that they are responsible for. Will be expected to demonstrate the knowledge of how to make proper connections of the following materials, PVC, Copper and CPVC. EXPERIENCE Bursting Vactoring Trench Boxes Shoring Street restoration using slurry Knows proper prep for concrete cover Fluency with mini excavators Works well with helpers and drain techs Managing customer expectations and communication Works well with Estimators Cares about putting landscaping back as normal Desires a strong position in an excellent company with a great reputation in Underground Plumbing QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a valid Driver's License. Must have a positive attitude and good attendance. Must be able to get along with fellow workers and others tradesman and or public that may be encountered on a day-to-day basis. Must be willing and able to always represent Fischer Plumbing in a positive manner. Must have a minimum of 3 year of verifiable underground plumbing experience.
