Job Description: As the Lead Software Developer you will provide support for application development of data and business systems software to include analysis of business needs, systems flow, and determination of data storage and usage requirements. You will work as part of a team with other contractors, government civilians, and military personnel in an agile environment.
Job Duties Include (but not limited to): The candidate will possess advanced analytical knowledge of data and be capable of conducting big data analysis; performing data conditioning; programming advanced computing; developing algorithms, software and AI/ML models; executing advanced analytics; and utilizing visualization tools to take advantage of the growing volume of available information. Can write in modern coding languages; Python & JavaScript. Can read and understand other coding languages; HTML/CSS, R, Java, C, C++, C#. Create respective process documentation using a web-based version control. Experience with Gitlab and Jira Provide written and verbal communication and respective business process. Work independently and on teams and have excellent time management and work prioritization skills. Execute complex projects within government defined timelines across a geographically dispersed workforce and user base. Produce quality and maintainable code within a multidisciplinary team to provide tailored intelligence support of mission requirements. Utilize industry standard tools such as Gitlab, Jira, and confluence for code version control, project management, product requirements, and user documentation. Automate retrieval of data from various sources via API and direct database queries for intelligence analysts and data scientists using SQL and Python. Support DevOps activities for deploying applications and databases using Gitlab CI/CD pipelines. Work directly with the customer to gather requirements and product feedback for future iterations. Support capabilities briefings for military personnel. Required Skills & Experience: 7 Years experience with modern Web technology stack. Experience with restful APIs, relational databases, and cross browser compatibility troubleshooting techniques. 4 years of experience with webapplication development using JavaScript frameworks, HTML, C5S, and similar web programming technologies. Python, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, AGILE software development methodology Experience developing customer driven applications for data collection and analysis. 5 years of experience using communication skills, both written and oral, to include preparation of written products for senior leader (general officer/flag officer/senior executive service level) use and the ability to communicate at all levels in a highly professional manner. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN Desired Skills: R, C/C++, SQL, Go, Flask, React, SQL Alchemy, CI/CD, Experience with Flask and React preferred. Education & Certifications: Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field. Security Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI is required.
