Responsibilities
• Set up and stock the station for daily service• Follow instructions provided by the Chef Team• Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards• Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team• Monitor tickets, including allergy and special-request notes• Keep station clean, organized, and efficient• Rotate inventory correctly. FIFO enforced• Ensure all nutrition and sanitation standards are followed• Monitor baking ingredient inventory needs• Plate dishes with finesse and cleanliness• Fill out check-lists, DOH logs, and prep-lists• Prepare ingredients and handle baking equipment with proficiency• Create pastries, baked goods, and confections• Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure appealing presentation• Adhere to safety and health regulations• Communicate effectively with Pastry Chef or Chef on duty
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification• Certificate in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, or related experience• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a pastry cook or in a similar role• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Excellent leadership skills and ability to delegate projects• Solid understanding of baking techniques and pastry-making process• Ability to work well in a team and independently• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment• Fine Dining Experience a plus• Keen attention to detail in pastry preparation• Tactful and clear communication with teammates• Excellent time management• Proactive and positive attitude• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and evenings
