JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Supervisor will perform and lead the routine functions of the Human Resources Generalists including hiring and interviewing employees, oversight of new employee orientation, background checks, and enforcing company policies and practices. Provides supervisory support to the Human Resources Generalists.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent public speaking skills and trainer skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field, BA preferred. Proven working experience as HR supervisor or three or more years' experience working in the human resources field. Management experience required. PHR/SHRM-CP, required or obtained within 1 year of hire. Experience with data entry and high level of accuracy. Must be fingerprinted and submit to and pass background screening for FBI, State of California DOJ and become Custodian of Records. Applicants cannot have a felony conviction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
2. Oversees all the daily workflow of the Human Resources Generalists.
3. Creating and fostering a positive and efficient work environment within the Human Resources Department.
4. Managing the recruitment and selection process.
5. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
6. Provides support with employee relations.
7. Ensures that employees in job positions requiring background investigations have been processed in accordance with hiring policies. Completes live scan fingerprints, conducts and reports thorough record searches and background investigations, that provide comprehensive information needed to make suitability determinations.
8. Performs background screening interviews when applicable, under direction of the Human Resources Director.
9. Oversight of new employee orientation program content and delivery (HR, policies, benefits, computer, safety, time tracking).
10. Oversight of six month probationary period evaluations.
11. Facilitates interviews and processing onboarding for new employees.
12. Develops and assists with updating the most applicable and relevant interview questions for all Redding Rancheria positions.
13. Creates, updates, and implements workflow processes as needed for the department.
14. Trains Human Resources Generalists that provide operational and administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and other HR related programs to all staff.
15. Advertises employment opportunities by attending local events.
16. Processes weekly employee changes.
17. Ensures compliance for accreditation on a regular basis.
