Current Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources Specialist to support our Specialty Divisions. This entry-level position offers an incredible opportunity to jump-start your career in human resources by getting hands-on experience in recruiting, hiring, and other HR functions under the mentorship of our Human Resources Manager and Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Embody our core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
Act as a dependable business partner to senior management and field directors, primarily overseeing recruiting and hiring activities.
Efficiently manage job requisitions, craft job descriptions, screen candidates, and oversee the new hire process including onboarding and compliance checks.
Proactively engage with hiring managers and new employees to ensure smooth communication and address any preliminary questions or concerns.
Support the HR team in traditional HR responsibilities such as employee lifecycle changes, FMLA and ADA leave processes, worker's compensation claims, and benefits administration.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department and assist with special projects as needed.
Work Environment:
This hybrid role will require a flexible combination of in-office and remote work, based in Ann Arbor, MI. You'll be expected to manage multiple tasks effectively in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. Regular computer use and occasional physical tasks are part of the job.
Who You Are:
A holder of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, or you possess HR-related certifications. Alternatively, you have at least three years of relevant human resources and recruiting experience.
Experienced with Applicant Tracking Systems (preferred).
A multitasker able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Eager to learn, with a willingness to receive and act on feedback.
Excellent in both written and verbal communication.
A committed team player with a strong customer service focus.
Detail-oriented and results-driven.
