Job summary
Part-time position of Human Resources Office Assistant ClerkWorking 29 hours a weekSupporting the various functions of the University Human Resources Department
Job seniority: entry level
Responsibilities
• Performing clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms• Operating office machines and equipment• Answering phones and directing calls• Receiving and distributing office mail• Preparing letters, memos, forms, and reports• Conducting 1-9 verification on new hires• Assisting with employment verifications• Maintaining filing systems• Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required• Administrative training required• Two years of administrative assistant experience preferred• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail• Ability to operate general office equipment• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to type 60 words per minute• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software• Ability to maintain confidential information• Physical requirements: prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
