Responsibilities
• Administer all aspects of a large human resources program• Review program operations and determine need for new or revised policies or procedures• Direct classification and evaluation activities• Represent the agency at meetings related to organization and reorganization• Advise agency management on organizational plans and recommend a course of action• Establish a uniform policy for disciplinary actions• Direct investigation of complaints and charges filed within the agency• Prepare budget requests for the Human Resources Management Office• Represent the agency in administrative hearings• Direct the recruiting, selection, and placement program• Develop and administer layoff/layoff avoidance plans
Requirements
• Baccalaureate degree plus five years of professional level human resources experience• Substitutions available for degree and experience• Human resources experience in administration of a comprehensive personnel program or in one aspect of a comprehensive personnel program• Certification by the Society for Human Resource Management acceptable
