HR Leave Specialist position in Romulus, MIMonday-Friday office scheduleOpportunity for professional growth

Responsibilities
• Explain benefits to new team members and assist with enrollment• Administrate LOAs, FMLA, Disability, and other regulations• Assist employees with insurance plans and inform of benefits changes• Handle workers compensation claims and resolve employee issues• Process weekly payroll for 600+ team members• Collect banking information for direct deposit setup• Stay up to date with salary taxation and other payroll factors• Process garnishment orders and maintain payroll records• Review payroll deductions and support manager with projects• Build trust, communicate effectively, and navigate sensitive issues
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field• Minimum 3 years' experience in benefits and payroll• Service-oriented, collaborative, and charismatic• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Proactive and resourceful in a fast-paced environment• Highly organized and detail-oriented• Knowledge of EEOC, ADA, and employment laws• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under constraints• Connect deeply with people and maintain trust
Key Skills Needed
• Bilingual (a plus)• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Proactive and resourceful• Attention to detail• Ability to navigate sensitive issues
