Job Summary

The HR Consultant position facilitates and coordinates application of human resources policies and procedures for assigned campus unit(s).

Coordinate implementation of new or revised human resources policies and programs within unit(s).

This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff, Talent Management Department (TMD), and Office of Human Resources (OHR) management and staff.

This position typically will advise and counsel: unit management and staff

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Advise and assist unit management in application of human resources policies and procedures

Job Duty 2 -
Review and coordinate processing of transactions to initiate Human Resources Information System (HRIS) related to onboarding of new hires, offboarding, terminations, pay actions, promotions, data changes, etc.

Job Duty 3 -
Consult with HR Consultant Sr. on all HR actions on a regular basis

Job Duty 4 -
Coordinate and facilitate processing of formal employee relations issues, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations in consultations with Employee Relations

Job Duty 5 -
Perform other related duties as necessary

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Four to five years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
PHR/SPHR certification
HR Data Analytics skillset and experience working with Faculty in higher administration

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree

Proposed Salary

Job Grade: A8
Salary Range: $52,894.00 - $71,937.00. The final salary offer commensurate with education and experience.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (Will discuss schedule during interview)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Work experience as an HR Analyst or similar role
Experience using Human Resources Management Systems
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to create detailed spreadsheets, charts and presentations
Good research abilities
Familiarity with HR operations including hiring, payroll transactions
