Overview Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Gilbert the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 198-bed not-for profit hospital with more than 1300 employees and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. In 2014 Phoenix Childrens Hospital launched a 22-bed pediatric unit inside the hospital. Mercy Gilbert opened in 2006 and has been a vital part of the growing community. Today it is the fifth largest employer in Gilbert. During the fiscal year ending June 30 2016 Mercy Gilbert provided more than $24 million in community benefit. Responsibilities Our Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, Environmental Services Department is seeking a Senior Housekeeper to join our team!
The housekeeper will provide excellent cleaning service to the assigned area using standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the cleaning of patient rooms, as well as the cleaning of non-patient environmental.
Responsible for patient and guest satisfaction, safety, and comfort as it pertains to a clean environment.
Must collaborate with others, organize well, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively.
Adheres to proper cleaning policy/ procedures when cleaning all areas as listed on assignment sheet and completes all assignments on a daily basis
Clean and disinfects surfaces throughout facility.
Removes and applies safe handling methods to trash, medical waste, sharps, and soiled linens.
Ensures proper usage of cleaning and disinfectant chemicals.

Qualifications Preferred: Six months related experience
HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
