Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Health Educator Scientist III to join our Science team within the CDC Division Healthcare Quality Promotion. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating messages and materials, facilitating training, and enhancing collaborations across microbiology laboratories. Your focus will be on promoting knowledge and expertise for the accurate identification of bacterial and fungal pathogens and supporting rapid data sharing for effective response.
Responsibilities:
Regularly review and collaborate with the ARX Science and Communications Teams to update educational materials, training documents, and guidance materials.
Coordinate with the ARX Science and Communications Teams to ensure web content related to antimicrobial resistance is up to date and accessible to the appropriate audience.
Facilitate cross-communication with CDC Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure consistency in training and messaging regarding antimicrobial resistance.
Act as a Health Educator for the ARX Science Team and serve as a liaison between the ARX Science and Communications Teams.
Assist with the clearance of all materials related to CDC antimicrobial resistance issues.
Identify gaps, tasks, or communication needs within the ARX Science Team and collaborate with the ARX Communications Team to address them effectively.
Collaborate with AR partners to conduct informational webinars, trainings, and outreach efforts related to antimicrobial resistance.
Contribute content for various social media platforms as relevant and appropriate.
Proactively identify and resolve problems, participate in team strategy sessions, and recommend updated strategies to improve information sharing.
Attend relevant antimicrobial resistance-related coordination meetings and team-building activities.
Provide logistical support at approved conferences and meetings related to antimicrobial resistance activities.
Attend CDC-approved trainings to learn new government systems as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of related experience, specializing in public health education, communications, or health education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong project management, coordination, and prioritization skills.
Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills with the ability to adapt to change.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional customer service orientation.
Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
