POSITION TITLE/ROLE: Health & Wellness Program Manager
EMPLOYMENT LEVEL: Manager
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Fulltime, Salaried, Exempt
PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Health & Wellness (H&W)
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
SUPERVISES: Wellness Advocate(s), QPR Coordinator, H&W Billing and Database Coordinator, and Health & Wellness interns
SCHEDULE/HOURS: M-F / 40 HR Minimum; with a few weekends annually for events PAY RANGE: starting at $34,985
POSITION OVERVIEW
Program Managers oversee the functioning and productivity of a specific organizational program. Their primary responsibilities include recruiting and dismissing staff, establishing and working towards strategic departmental goals, and managing a program budget.
The Health & Wellness Program Manager organizes different program initiatives and syncs them to meet organizational goals, including overseeing all client caseload and database management, as well as any supplemental wellness services offered. They conduct performance reviews, make recommendations on improving policies and procedures, develop plans for scaling business and participant growth, research channels for cost reduction, and monitor accounting processes. They are responsible for ensuring that each team member and facilitator has the necessary resources to complete their job.
Their primary duties include overseeing employees, implementing communications procedures between programs/departments, and developing strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization. They act as a liaison between the leadership team and the staff implementing their vision.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leadership & Management
? Implement the 5 Leadership practices & 5 Management practices to create a work environment of accountability.
i. 5 Leadership Practices: simplify complex issues, delegate effectively, predict future trends and challenges, systemize processes, and
structure the organization for growth.
ii. 5 Management Practices: keep expectations clear, communicate well, use the right meeting pulse, use quarterly conversations, and reward & recognize your team.
2. Recruit, Hire, Evaluate, Train & Develop Team
? Align strategic goals with the needs and capacity of the H&W team. ? Identify Job Requirements and Specifications for the roles within the H&W department.
? Work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, and select the right candidate(s).
? Design and implement a thorough training process for the new employee(s) to ensure they acclimate well to the organization and our culture.
? Help identify opportunities & resources for employee professional
development.
3. Project Management
? Plan and develop project ideas and create project implementation teams. ? Monitor project progress, set deadlines, and solve issues that arise.
? Ensure client/community satisfaction and evaluate project performance. 4. Policies & Procedures
? Work with the H&W team to identify, develop, and approve policies and procedures to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of programs and services.
5. Reporting & Analytics
? Work with Business Operations to ensure all H&W systems are working effectively and are designed to collect the data necessary to serve our community to the best of our ability.
? Train staff to correctly collect data to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the information entered.
? Regularly provide reports and thoughtful data analysis to the leadership team and Executive Director to help achieve strategic goals.
? Provide thoughtful interpretation of data to help achieve strategic goals. 6. Program Evaluation
? Develop and track metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance and success of H&W programs.
? Analyze the results of metrics to determine which activities are meeting expectations and which need improvement.
? Propose strategies for improvement and manage implementation. 7. Strategy & Budgeting
? Work with your team, Executive Director, and Leadership Team to identify objectives, annual goals, and quarterly "rocks."
? Develop and manage the program budget and ensure the H&W department is on track to meet established business goals/objectives.
? Adapt to changes in strategy and budgeting restrictions as needed. 8. Client Experience
? Ensure the satisfaction and loyalty of clients & community members. ? Develop a clear client experience vision and inspire the organization to consistently meet and exceed this vision.
? Maintain cleanliness of the building and train all staff to prioritize these efforts for the comfort of our clients and community members.
9. Community Building
? Develop and implement a regular needs assessment of our clients and the community at large to align the organization's resources.
? Build lasting and meaningful relationships with outside organizations, increase access to community resources, and train our staff to assist in this goal.

Required Education/Experience
Education/experience in the following areas is required for this position: ? Bachelor's degree in Management or a related discipline with 1+ year of management experience, OR
? 5+ years of team-building & management experience

Travel Required
This position requires occasional local travel within the Athens area.
