**Overview:**
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Swim Club Coach to lead our competitive swim program. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated leader with a proven track record of developing swimmers both in skill and character. This individual will oversee all aspects of the swim club, including athlete training, meet preparation, staff management, and program development. The Head Swim Club Coach will inspire and motivate swimmers to reach their full potential while fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
Position is paid with a salary of up to $65,000/year.
**Responsibilities:** 
1. **Coach Development:** Develop and implement training programs for swimmers of all ages and skill levels, focusing on technique, endurance, and mental preparedness. Provide ongoing training and support for assistant coaches to ensure consistency and excellence in coaching standards. 
2. **Athlete Development:** Assess swimmers' abilities and create personalized development plans to maximize their potential. Monitor progress through regular evaluations and adjust training strategies as needed. Inspire athletes to set and achieve ambitious goals both in and out of the pool. 
3. **Meet Preparation:** Plan and organize meet schedules, ensuring that swimmers are adequately prepared both physically and mentally. Provide guidance and support during competitions, including race strategy, warm-up routines, and post-race analysis. Foster a competitive but sportsmanlike atmosphere among athletes. 
4. **Team Management:** Lead by example and foster a positive team culture based on respect, discipline, and teamwork. Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and staff to address concerns, provide feedback, and maintain a supportive community environment. 
5. **Program Development:** Collaborate with club management to develop long-term goals and strategies for program growth and success. Identify opportunities for fundraising, sponsorship, and community outreach to support the club's mission and objectives. 
6. **Safety and Compliance:** Ensure the safety of all swimmers by adhering to established safety guidelines and protocols. Stay informed about relevant regulations and best practices related to swim club operations, including pool safety, lifeguard certification, and emergency procedures.
**Qualifications:** 
- Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience, preferably at the club or collegiate level.
- Current certification from a recognized coaching organization (e.g., ASCA, USA Swimming).
- Strong knowledge of competitive swimming techniques, training methods, and race strategies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate athletes.
- Demonstrated success in developing swimmers to achieve their full potential, both individually and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to effectively manage staff, resources, and administrative responsibilities.
- Passion for promoting sportsmanship, integrity, and lifelong fitness through swimming.
