The primary role of the art department is to facilitate art work, production, photography and lease diagrams for the Sales and Real Estate department. Design responsibilities will be determined by the Art Director. They will include:
Creative concept, copywriting, illustration, and design of posters and bulletins. Work on Mac-based system with applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. Designer will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting his/her computer, learning to use new software, etc. Create artwork depicting billboard placement for lease department. Create and organize slides for quarterly employee luncheon slideshow. Assist Art Director in completing various projects for sales, leasing, and executive staff, including promotional material, presentations, etc. Get bids for and order poster paper and vinyl. Photography
Photography duties will include: Photograph current copy for sales staff and proof-of-performance. Photograph location shots for lease and legal departments. Act as company photographer at Reagan events, parties, etc. File, organize, and maintain photo archives. Run errands as needed for management, sales, and the art department. This may include picking up and delivering artwork to vendors, picking up material from clients, etc. Design duties will be scheduled between the Art Director and the Sales Manager. Photography responsibilities will be taken care of as time and weather permit. This position requires some flexibility in schedule, and requires access to a reliable vehicle for running errands and taking photographs. No company vehicle is provided; however, the photographer will receive the standard compensation for mileage. Approximate Time Allocation: Photography: 15% Design/Artwork: 80% Errands/Misc. Projects: 5% Work hours Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch. Artist must work Friday afternoon; this is generally the busiest day of the art department.
