Graphic Designer Location Ave Maria, FL : PRIMARY PURPOSE: The graphic designer will work under the direction of the senior graphic designer to design and create various print and digital materials with a special focus on supporting AMU's Advancement department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and create various digital materials including but not limited to - website elements, email marketing graphics, video thumbnails, and social media graphics. Design and create various print materials including but not limited to - pages, donor proposals, direct mail appeals, stewardship materials, and event collateral. Perform retouching and manipulation of pictures to maintain a high visual standard. Ensure projects are completed with high standard of excellent, ensuring exceptional quality and on schedule delivery. Ensure adherence to brand guidelines. Prioritize and complete multiple projects within design specifications and time constraints. Work under the visual direction of the senior graphic designer to support the design needs of the Advancement department and the University. Work in collaboration on projects and materials with student workers and interns as well as independent contractors at the direction of the marketing leadership team. EDUCATION: Bachelors degree preferred
EXPERIENCE: A strong portfolio required, 1-5 Years graphic design experience preferred (Upload portfolio with resume and cover-letter.)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (WRITE BASED on job needs) Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under supervision. Knowledge of layout design, graphic fundamentals, typography, web design and print design and production. Experience and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software. Experience with fundraising and development (Advancement) is a plus. Experience with email and web element design is a plus. Competency in mentoring student interns when needed. Open to receiving and actioning constructive feedback. Have a heart for serving and supporting team member's and the greater AMU community. Must support the University's Catholic mission. PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Visual acuity to use a keyboard. Operate equipment and read technical information. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors with minimal safety hazards, and requires seated, standing, and movement work.
