Position Highlights
The position will report to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration and work closely with the Associate Dean of Research managing post-award management for both internally and externally funded grants and contracts to Principal Investigators. The role provides project management throughout the life cycle of an award from initiation and set-up, management of the project, subawards and closeout. Duties & Responsibilities Take
the lead on post-award project management of grants and contracts in
collaboration with Project Principal Investigators (PIs), Associate Dean for
Research, the College Business Office, Engineering Research Administration
Services and Sponsored Projects & Contracting Services. This includes:
Meet PIs regularly to examine financial reports, advise available funds, provide recommendations, and communicate personnel changes with the College Business Office. Manage budget, monitor spending, and produce financial reports for university or college-funded projects.  Prepare complex financial reports and provide recommendations to support decision-making. Coordinate and assist with external audits and internal reviews. Coordinate and respond to post-award requests for information, interim and final technical and/or progress reports, negotiation of budget revisions and award documents, and cost-sharing related to terms and conditions of awards. Aid in effort reporting and documenting cost sharing/matching funds. Assist with equipment purchases and complete required equipment reporting. Other business and administrative duties. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Is informed about trends in higher education related to recruitment and retention practices. Specific knowledge of CAPLA's focus areas is a plus. Can communicate effectively to small and large audiences via telephone, email, or in-person meetings. Is knowledgeable with the University proposal procedures. Is skilled in coordinating and administering programs. Can analyze complex situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action. Possesses a positive attitude, can work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates creativity, flexibility, initiative, and teamwork. Is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the admissions process, and able to work with diverse constituencies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's
degree in a field related to the area of assignment and minimum
of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education
and work experience. Experience
coordinating grants post-proposal. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a field related to the area of assignment. Experience coordinating programs, preferably related to recruitment or outreach. Work experience in a university setting. Experience using UA software programs, including UAccess (Analytics). FLSA: Exempt
