We are seeking an Energy Engineer to render energy management aspects for refinery and gas plants.
Job seniority: director level and above
Responsibilities
• Develop an energy efficiency roadmap for oil and gas refineries.• Create an energy baseline and define Energy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to analyze energy performance.• Ensure energy compliance and efficiency for each operating facility.• Develop and maintain Energy Policy, documents, and procedures.• Collaborate with the refinery energy team to identify energy-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for achieving more energy-efficient operations.• Analyze and monitor daily refinery energy usage and conduct energy audits.• Monitor and control refinery energy intensity indicators to improve energy efficiency.• Conduct job site observations, field inspections, or sub-metering to collect data for energy conservation analyses.• Conduct internal energy benchmarking studies among the oil and gas refineries.• Organize technical exchange workshops among the oil and gas refineries.• Develop and deliver training materials to promote energy awareness among refinery personnel.
Requirements
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or an equivalent field.• Possess a minimum of 12 years of experience in refining, oil and gas plants, or petrochemical industries.• Be proficient in the codes and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry, including API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.• Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of energy engineering.• Preferred familiarity with the ISO-50001 Energy Management Standard and its requirements.• Possess a working knowledge of oil/gas-related plant processes.• Familiarity with the development of energy efficiency roadmaps, energy baselines, and setting targets for energy key performance indicators.• Have a strong background in data collection and data analysis to identify energy-saving opportunities and recommend improvements for better energy performance.• Exhibit strong management and coordination skills.
