Global Export Specialist - Sales Operations Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is a fully integrated retail, foodservice and private label producer of fresh and processed meats based in Delphi, Indiana (near Lafayette, Indiana). Summary The Global Export Specialist - Sales Operations is responsible for coordinating the export, order entry/order management, warehouse management, inventory tracking, logistics, and country specific inspection requirements of product across assigned customer base. The key aspect of this role will be to support the Export Sales Representatives in completing transactions with the customer, to include communicating with the customer regarding those transactions.
Responsibilities To include accurate and timely order entry and order management for assigned customer base. Must be or become familiar with inspection, USDA certifications, and country specific inspection and regulatory requirements for shipping product into various countries. Must work with operations, logistics, and the warehouse management team to understand inventory levels and work with sales team members to communicate those levels to ensure we can meet customer expectations. Will be the main focal point for export customer complaints and will be responsible for communicating those issues to the appropriate departments for resolution and communicating back to the customer. Working with the Export Sales Representatives, this position will coordinate all facets of logistics from IPC to customer location; this includes, carriers, container, shipping lines, cold storage facilities, drayage companies, freight forwarders, export certificates, and will ensure accuracy for customs process with international agents. Provide excellent customer service, including being able to track shipments and effectively share those results with customers. Provide pricing quotation working with the sales team and accept orders for booking export shipments. Ensure completion and accuracy of export documentation. Adhere to and develop processes and procedures for maintaining and ensuring governmental compliance in both the USA and customer countries. Establish best practices in accordance with internal and client established KPIs. Perform other tasks or duties as required or needed. Qualifications Bachelors' Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field OR current IPC employee for more than 4 years. Must be fluent and communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, written and oral. Experience with shipment coordination, export, and cold storage. Deep understanding of FCL/LTL/TL and air carrier and delivery process. Experience with global export and coordination - Latin American market preferred. Ability to meet required deadlines, multitask, and at times manage high levels of stress. Ability to work well in a team environment and in close working conditions with employees. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and very organized. Effective ability to use Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook). Ability to problem solve and make decisions to find solutions in fast-moving industry. Physical Requirements This job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, fax/photocopier machines, filing cabinets, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly sitting, listening, requiring the use of hands to finger, and operating a keyboard on a computer, frequently talking and exchanging ideas with individuals. Is required to occasionally stand, walk, handle, or feel objects. The team member will regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. May occasionally be required to take photos of product being produced or as it goes into boxes. This may require gearing up for a walk onto the production floor occasionally.
