General Ledger Accounting Location Township of Hamilton, NJ (Wilbur area) : Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger Accounting to join our team. As a General Ledger Accounting, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of journal entries, account analysis, and financial report writing. Responsibilities:- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting- Perform account reconciliations and analysis to identify discrepancies or variances- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements- Conduct research on accounting issues and provide recommendations for resolution- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures- Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes- Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or TOJ experience- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related field- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Restaurant 365 and Compeat- Experience with account analysis and reconciliation- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines- Prior experience in public accounting is a plus
