We are very interested in candidates who have a passion for Optometry and patient care. We are a progressive practice that likes to be at the forefront of eye care. We are not overly booked but have full schedules every day that will keep the candidate busy and able to earn a great living.

Our local beaches and bays are great for recreation/fishing/kayaking. We have many state parks and bike trails as well. One more selling point is Delaware has no state sales tax!
About the Position:
Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday: 8:30am - 4:30pm & Tuesday: 8:30am-7pm
Full-scope optometry
Number of patients:
12 full exams
4 short problem-focused visits/follow-up visits
2 special testing appointments.
Salary:
Option 1: Flat salary of $100,000 for part-time OD 3 days a week
Option 2: Base salary of $170,000 base for full time OD with production bonus structure in place (Production is counted for everything associated with a patient seen by the doctor, meaning the doctor receives production bonuses on glasses or contact lenses a patient purchases as well as exam and procedure fees. Typically the production option is going to generate up to $200,000 in annual income).

Pays for professional liability insurance (malpractice)
Pays for AOA, DeOA, and AAO dues
CE expenses up to $2000 per year
401k: Employer pays 100% match up to 3% of salary and 50% match up to 5% of salary
12 days vacation per year
Offers a $10,000 signing bonus ($5,000 payable when the doctor begins working and $5,000 at the end of their first year of employment).
NO WEEKEND HOURS
**All states require optometrists to be licensed. The ideal candidate must have obtained an O.D. degree from an accredited optometry school and must have completed all sections of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry exam.**
